What is the Eko Art Expo all about?
The Rasheed Gbadamosi Eko Art Expo is an art exhibition by Lagos State Government to showcase the creativity of students in tertiary institutions as well as emerging artists. The project is aimed at encouraging the ingenious creativity of visual artists thereby boosting the curation of contemporary and homegrown artworks. In the long run, the exhibition will put a spotlight on the visual art space as a major contributor to the economy and development of the State.

What is the connection with Rasheed Gbadamosi?
The expo is named after and dedicated to Rasheed Gbadamosi because he supported the arts. He was an art collector and a writer. He was also a founding member of the MUSON centre, Lagos.

Who is the expo open to?
The exhibitor slots are open to all Students of Tertiary institutions in Nigeria as well as budding Artists in Nigeria. Exhibitors will be selected based on the quality of their applications and works. But anyone can attend.
